You must have a valid motorcycle license to operate a motorcycle. Motorcycle insurance is required to drive a motorcycle anywhere other than on private property. The law requires you to carry a minimum of $200,000 in third-party coverage. Mopeds require the same insurance coverage as a motorcycle.
