The history of Youngs Insurance Brokers Burlington is a motivating story of an organization striving to serve its clients and the community at large..

Our distinctive and rich history started on May 10 in the year 1910, when Robert Carl Young started his initial business journey at R.C. Young Insurance in Niagara Falls. Robert Carl Young first manned his business, provided policies and made sales calls just by bicycle.

In the year 1936, his son, Carl joined the firm, starting an exceptional period of success which resulted in the company securing more space and additional employees to ensure the considerable expansion is sustained. In the year 1954, we commemorated the company’s 50th Anniversary and the retirement of Robert Carl Young. In the year 1960, Carl created an opportunity for hard-working employees to own and expand it.

Woefully, the new owner embraced a broad-scale expansion which decreased the company’s funds. However, Sandy Valleriani, an inventive and ambitious Sales Associate, helped the Youngs Insurance Brokers Burlington brand triumph. Thus Youngs Insurance Brokers Burlington is still among the dominant and independently owned brokerages in Ontario to date.

And to think, it all began on a bicycle!
